« Alé was born on July 8, 1970. I was nine years old. Being nine years old myself, he was like a younger brother for me. Alexandre who was nicknamed years later « Alé » by Serge Gainsbourg grew up close to me till my wedding. He was 12. His huge, attractive personal charm delighted everyone. Enthusiastic, creative, curious, it was easy to take care of him. When forced to act against his will he had temper tantrums, easily mastered with a smile and a kind word. For me Alexandre is in the same time the three years old poet who, hearing us complaining about his sun burns declared with a sweet voice : “the sun gave me a kiss”, the five years old drawing for his mother when she laid at the hospital badly injured after a car crash, the nine years old who won his first trophy in a swimming competition in Saint Jean de Luz, was the youngest contestant in a traditional run in the Basque Country the generous twelve years old who broke his piggy bank to offer me a fire work on my wedding day.
For his goddaughter, Charlotte, Alé is the one who sent a big limo to pick her up after the premiere of Apoline in 1995, her first appearance on stage.
When in middle school at Bordeaux, before being a student in a boarding school, he was a boy scout, a member of the swimming team and everyone’s best friend. Since this last summer we exchanged a lot of letters, built a heart to heart relationship. Very true and simple.
Alé is a courageous man who knows how to cope with his life, accepts his mistakes and lives the best he can with his fellow inmates. He is looking forward his future and shares his project with his friends. His warm, friendly voice gives the feeling he is next to you, not in Texas at the end of the word. »
